Privacy Policy

What visitor data Qeruen collects, why, where it is stored, and what you can do about it.

Version of October 10, 2026

1. Who we are

Qeruen (qeruen.com) is a news outlet about travel in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. We write news and report on what is happening in these countries’ travel markets. You can read the site without registering or leaving any data about yourself.

The site is owned by [название компании], BIN [БИН], address: [юридический адрес] (“we”), the controller of your personal data. Full details are given in the Terms of Use.

For any question about personal data, write to ask@qeruen.com.

2. What we collect and why

We only get personal data when you give it to us yourself, plus what the site cannot work without:

  • Enquiries sent through the contact form: name, company, email, phone, the service you are interested in, your message and the site language. Used to answer you and prepare an offer.
  • Newsletter: email and site language. Used to send you news in the language you chose.
  • Analytics (only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner): Google Analytics collects anonymised visit data — pages viewed, device and browser, country. Used to understand what people read and improve the site.
  • Article view counter: we only count views per article and day, with nothing about who read it.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and request time end up in server logs and error reports. Used to run the site, guard against abuse and fix bugs.

3. Legal basis and principles

By sending the form or subscribing, you consent to the processing of that data for the purposes above. Analytics only runs with your consent. Technical data is processed because the site cannot work or defend itself without it.

We collect only what these purposes need, do not use the data for anything else and do not sell it. Processing follows the personal data laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Please do not include health, religious, political or other sensitive information in your messages — we do not need it.

4. Who else has access

The site relies on providers that process data only on our behalf:

  • website hosting and database;
  • email delivery — the newsletter and replies to enquiries;
  • Google Analytics — only with your consent;
  • error reporting.

5. Where data is stored

Our providers’ servers may be outside the country you live in, including in the European Union and the USA. We choose providers that keep data secure. By sending a form or subscribing you agree to this transfer.

We disclose data to public authorities only where the law requires it.

6. How long we keep data

  • Enquiries — as long as we need them to stay in touch with you, and no longer than 3 years after our last contact.
  • Subscriber email — until you unsubscribe.
  • Google Analytics data — 14 months.
  • Server logs and error reports — up to 90 days.

7. Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw consent and have it deleted. Write to ask@qeruen.com — we reply within 10 working days. You can unsubscribe through the link in any newsletter.

To withdraw analytics consent, clear the site’s data in your browser — the cookie banner will appear again.

8. Security

The site works over HTTPS only, and enquiries are accessible only to staff with personal accounts.

9. Children

The site is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the current version is shown at the top of the page.
