Kaspi.kz Launches International eSIM Service for Outbound Travelers
Kazakhstan's Kaspi.kz app has introduced an eSIM feature covering over 200 countries. Users can customize data packages and pay for international connectivity using Kaspi Gold cards or bonus points.

A new international travel service—a virtual SIM card (eSIM)—has launched within the Kaspi.kz mobile application. According to Finratings.kz, the feature enables outbound travelers to access overseas mobile data without purchasing a local physical SIM card.
The service covers more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. The roster of supported destinations includes top outbound markets for Kazakh tourists, such as Türkiye, Egypt, Vietnam, Thailand, and China.
Travelers can select from two plan formats: purchasing pre-set data packages or customizing parameters manually. Under the custom option, users can specify the exact trip duration and required data volume. Payments can be made via a Kaspi Gold card or accumulated Kaspi Bonus points.
The purchasing and configuration process takes place entirely within the app. To activate the service, users navigate through: 'Kaspi Travel' → 'Profile' → 'My eSIMs' → 'Buy eSIM', then select the destination country or region and the preferred plan. Installation and activation on supported smartphones occur immediately after payment.
The service rollout is progressing in phases. According to Finratings.kz, the 'My eSIMs' section may not yet be visible to all app users simultaneously.
What This Means for Travelers
- Checking Access in the App: If the 'My eSIMs' section under the 'Kaspi Travel' tab is not yet visible, access will become available as the app update rolls out progressively.
- Technical Requirements: To use a digital SIM card, the smartphone must support eSIM technology.
