Long-term plans up to 2029 include the construction and reconstruction of runways at the airports of Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Taraz, Aktobe, Uralsk, and Jezkazgan. Upgrades to passenger terminals at the country's major aviation hubs are also planned.
